Tuesday’s plenary session features one of the most popular events at the annual meeting.
The Film Panel will be part of the session, which goes from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Marquis Ballroom. The competition features teams answering “Jeopardy”-style questions on many aspects of IR in front of a large crowd. But a key component every year is fun and enthusiasm along with the competition. Last year’s event, for example, featured Team USA vs. the home Canadian squad in a hockey-themed contest.
Robert K. Ryu, MD, FSIR, University of Colorado Denver, and Shaun L. Samuels, MD, FSIR, Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, will share moderating duties this year. Scientific Program Chair Daniel Sze, MD, PhD, FSIR; Elizabeth B. Spencer, MD, FSIR; Daniel B. Brown, MD, FSIR; and Bret Weichmann, MD, FSIR, are scheduled to appear as panelists. Hector Ferral, MD; Jeff Geschwind, MD, FSIR; and Ramona Gupta, MD, will be featured commentators.
The session also includes recognition of the SIR Foundation 2017 research awards and the JVIR awards.
